On Saturday we went to Milledgeville in the southern part of Carroll County, IL, to conduct the final workshop for the project. The workshop was held at the public library there:

"We always knew it was Grandpa behind the mask because Santa Claus had Grandpa's hands."
While people were writing, I amused myself for a little bit:
After the workshop was over, we spent a few hours with the two local craftsmen who are donating their time and some materials to construct the light boxes. Now that the collecting of photos and text is done (except for some remaining contributions to be collected via the Facebook page), future posts will be concerned with the making of the light boxes, selection of the text to go with the photos, making the artist's book, publicity, and so forth. All in preparation for the grand unveiling on October 30th.
