Since the beginning of the year, I've printed a 100-page accordion book, using images found on the internet, enlarged muchly on a photocopier, and transferred to printmaking paper using paper-litho transfer. This weekend, I began the process of adding a second layer of images to the pages:
The silvery lines are a map of Lucerne. I will repeat this on most of the pages, using linear images to contrast and balance the dark, blocky images of the first pass.
So by the time the book is finished, it will consist of at least 200 separate, hand-printed images, on 100 hand-collated pages, in a custom-made box.
